The Royal Game of Ur is an ancient board game where players try to race all of their tokens across the board first. Four four-sided dice determine the allowed movement, and opposing pieces are removed from the board when landed upon. Royal Game of Ur, also known as the Game of Twenty Squares, is an ancient two-player strategy board game. This game was very popular in middle east and is considered a predecessor of backgammon. In the game, two players start with 7 pawns each, take turn to roll 4 pyramid shaped dice and move pawns according to the roll.
